The Stadsmuseum Woerden is a charming, small-scale museum. The permanent collection consists of landscapes of the Green Heart of Holland by artists of the Hague School and work by important artists from Woerden. The top floor is devoted to Woerden’s Roman past. In its exhibitions, the museum displays paintings created using traditional techniques applied in a contemporary manner. The museum also highlights art from Woerden and the surrounding area and organises an annual exhibition on the city and region.
